Bedrooms are one of the most important rooms in the home, but also one of the most neglected! This client’s bedroom was a priority, and she wanted it to match the vintage and eclectic vibe of the rest of her house. We see a lot of wall wainscoting, paneling, wallpaper, and accent walls in her inspiration, so we went with a green accent wall behind the bed. I love anchoring a bed wall with an accent wall, whether it be color, pattern, texture. A lot of the bedding that she preferred were layers and layers of textures and patterns, to create a super luxury and cozy bed. We kept the layering colors pretty neutral, but added a bit of contrast in the quilt and velvet lumbar pillow! We left the decor simple for now, as the client wanted room to grow and build their antique and plant collection. To clear space for these antiques, we did wall mounted sconces and brought some interest to above the bed with a piece of framed art.
