Annie’s AirBnB was my first more hospitality based project! I loved this project because the goal was to create more of an experience for future guests, as opposed to playing more towards the direct full-time client! The clients wanted a pastel, bright, and airy space for their rental - to also match their kitchen in the rental, which had gorgeous dark green cabinets. For this space, I played with lighter tone woods to keep the airiness of the design, and incorporated light pastel colors that would add to but not overwhelm the small unit. Some fun architectural elements helped to add playfulness, such as the hanging lantern lights and shiplapped ceiling. Side note: This whole rental unit was inspired by the playroom that I did for this client’s main house!
