Kelsi's Office
2023
The client requested a gender-neutral dual home office, prioritizing both functionality and aesthetics for two work-from-home individuals. They desired a high-contrast color scheme, specifically black and white, and they mentioned they would eventually be continuing the flooring that was in the rest of the home, here. Their inspiration highlighted the need for shelving and wood accents. Our challenge was to create a balanced, efficient workspace that met these requirements.
We designed a layout with two symmetrical workstations, featuring modern standing desks and, of course, ergonomic black chairs. The back accent wall was painted black and provided an opportunity for each to display their degrees and certificates. To introduce warmth, we incorporated light wood accents through the desks, picture frames, and a floating shelves. The walls, painted in a crisp white, contrasted sharply with the other black finishes. This blend of high contrast and natural elements resulted in a cohesive, stylish, and practical dual office space that they were so stoked to put together!
